F1 reveals Nyck de Vries' competition number

Nyck de Vries has not communicated on the future number that he will use in competition during the next season of Formula 1. The Dutchman did not need it, since F1 was itself responsible for revealing the future number of the Dutchman in its entry list for the next year. This one will display the number 21 on its Alpha Tauri in 2023 for his first full season in the discipline. This year, he used the No. 45 during his only Grand Prix contested with Williams at Monza where he replaced Alex Albon, suffering.

During his title in Formula E with Mercedes during the 2020-2021 season, Nyck de Vries displayed number 17. This permanent number, however, has been retired from the Formula 1 world championship since the tragic death of Jules Bianchi in 2015, following his accident at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix.
