F1 is getting better for Jean Todt

Si Mercedes continues to line up victories, with only the Spanish Grand Prix escaping him (with the success of Max Verstappen for his debut at Red Bull Racing), the course of the races is nevertheless more unpredictable, mainly due to the increase in performance of Nico Rosberg and the problems encountered by his teammate Lewis Hamilton.

However, it is with the situation of the other teams that Jean Todt, the president of the FIA, was satisfied by affirming that they have reduced the gap on the reigning world champion team which despite everything has 81 points ahead of the Team Ferrari at the end of the first eight Grands Prix of the season.

" There F1 is in a period this year thanks to the fact that it is no longer totally dominated by a single team as has been the case for the last two years., commented the former director of Scuderia Ferrari during the FIA conference in Turin (Italy).

“Mercedes obviously remains very strong, but Ferrari has made a lot of progress, Red Bull is back at the front and Force India is achieving good results with Pérez who has already scored two podiums this year (in Monaco and Baku, Azerbaijan ). It is a positive point for the discipline that it is less predictable, but we should not forget that there have often been periods when one team had a clear advantage., recalled Jean Todt.
