FIA discusses return of testing

Its president, Jean Todt, would like to allow young drivers to gain experience, with testing sessions currently only being limited to pre-race testing. Sam Michael confirms the FIA's interest in the reintroduction of testing during the season. “The Sporting Working Group looked into the matter and we met at Silverstone to discuss it. The sports director of Williams does not hide that the reintroduction of testing is not the absolute priority of the teams at the moment. “It was just an idea on the table, but we had a lot of other things to worry about”, admits Sam Michael. “That's pretty far down our priority list with the V6 engines and the blown exhausts. »
