The FIA ​​reacts to the death of Jules Bianchi

21 years after the deaths of Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna at the San Marino GP, the F1 is once again in mourning following a tragic accident which occurred in competition with the death of Jules Bianchi, who left nine months after his crash at the Japanese GP at Suzuka.

The FIA ​​paid tribute to the young French hopeful who was tipped to have a great career in F1 after scoring his first points in Monaco a few months before the tragedy.

“The world of motorsport is in mourning today. With the death of Jules Bianchi, he lost one of the most talented riders of his generation from a family that marked the history of this discipline. Jules Bianchi was a personality appreciated by everyone in the world of F1 for his human and sporting qualities. The FIA ​​salutes the courage with which he fought his last fight accompanied by his family and loved ones”, indicates the Federation press release.

“Jean Todt, President of the FIA, expresses his immense emotion and joins in the pain of Jules’ family. He, along with the entire motorsport community, is at their side in this terrible ordeal.”, it is specified. Nicolas Todt, the son of the President of the Federation, was the manager of the Marussia driver.
