New Red Bull is 'fast everywhere', says Verstappen

Author of the 4th time of the first winter runs in Catalonia, half a second from the reference established by the Mercedes de Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen showed a satisfied look on the evening of the start of the 2020 school year.

The pilot Red Bull was also the most diligent on the track with 168 laps under his belt, even if the Mercedes duo piled up 173 rotations of the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit taking turns during the day

“It was a productive day, Verstappen reported to an army of journalists massed at the back of the Red Bull garage. The car behaved very well, as did the engine.

We are in a phase of self-discovery and learning. We focus on ourselves and what we can improve. The objective is to chain the rounds and test a whole bunch of things: contract fulfilled.

The car is fast everywhere, which is good news. Reliability seems to be improving, so the results are very positive.”

The only warnings that Verstappen experienced materialized by a pair of spins at the last chicane of the Catalan route, without any injury for the Batavian.

“I bit into the gravel and went spinning, explained Verstappen. The next time I lost the car in the second corner. These kinds of things happen when you're looking for the limits of a new car ».

Nothing to spoil a solid entry into the Austrian clan.
