Charles Leclerc's reaction after his retirement from the Spanish GP

Ninth at the halfway mark, Charles Leclerc was in the fight to grab a few more places but the mechanics decided otherwise. On the 38th lap, the driver Ferrari was forced to retire after his SF1000 suddenly stopped on track.

« The screen on my steering wheel went out in the middle of a turn. The rear wheels completely locked up so I spun. I don't know why the car turned off. We have to look to understand », he reacted to the Canal+ microphone a few moments after his abandonment.

« We were on a very good run. We managed the soft tires very well. We were faster than those on new mediums. Unfortunately we couldn't get the real potential because of this problem because we were on a one-stop strategy. It's a shame ».

For its part, Scuderia Ferrari announced that the powertrain shut down after passing a vibrator. An electronic problem could be the cause. Investigation in progress.
