Engaged in F1 in 1992, the Minardi 191B, powered by the V12 Lamborghini had notably been entrusted to Christian Fittipaldi and Gianni Morbidelli, the Brazilian scoring a single point in Japan.
Chassis 003, whose best result that year was an 11th place in Spain again with Fittipaldi, was recently restored by the Polo Storico of the Sant'Agata Bolognese brand and returned to the track with the Italian Mirko Bortolotti.
The official Lamborghini driver, present in GT3, mainly on the Huracans operated by Grasser Racing Team in Blancpain GT Series, was able to slip into the seat of 191B during a shakedown organized by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, and in the presence of the founder of the Minardi stable, Giancarlo Minardi.
Seven months of work were necessary to restore the car, long exhibited at the Lamborghini museum, and the LE3512 V12 engine block, imagined at the time by engineer Mauro Forghieri, famous for his past with the Team Ferrari.
