Australia will open the 2016 season on April 3

The winter break between the last 2015 Grand Prix, in Abu Dhabi on November 29, and the resumption of proceedings in Melbourne in 2016, will be longer than usual. The organizers of the Australian round announced that the Albert Park track would well host the opening race of the next World Championship F1, but on April 3 and no longer in March, as has traditionally been the case since the city in South-East Australia hosted the event. A date pushed back almost two weeks compared to the usual calendars in recent years, which should therefore offer a more condensed season.

The race times should also be brought forward compared to what we know with the time change which will then come into account. No definitive schedule has yet been revealed.
