Singapore GP extended for four years

If the director of the F1 Chase Carey said this week that the contract with the organizers of the Singapore GP was under discussion, the premier single-seater discipline confirmed this morning that the Marina Bay circuit would remain on the calendar for the next four seasons, until the end of 2021 .

The Singapore GP has been on the F1 calendar since 2008 and was the first event to feature a night race, a fact repeated during the first nine editions. This Grand Prix is one of the longest of the year, with the checkered flag often lowered near the two-hour limit of competition.

“The Singapore GP is a signature event for F1 and we are therefore very happy to be able to extend them to the calendar for the next four years. This first night race in the history of the discipline is one of the most exciting events of the season.", commented Chase Carey.
