The GPDA pays tribute to Jules Bianchi

If all the drivers of F1 have had a thought for Jules Bianchi, disappeared during the night of July 17 to 18 at Nice University Hospital (Alpes-Maritimes), the Grand Prix Drivers Association published a press release to pay tribute to the young French hopeful who left far too soon.

“F1 has lost a great talent, a great man and a great friend. 21 years after the deaths of Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger, we now lose Jules, who died as a direct result of an accident on the track”, indicated the GPDA.

The GPDA wanted to point out that improving safety would never be forgotten. “It’s times like these that we are starkly reminded of how dangerous racing remains. Despite considerable progress, we, as Grand Prix drivers, must never lose interest in improving safety. We owe it to the sports community, to those who have passed away and to Jules, his family and friends. »
