New Jersey and Mexico in the spotlight for 2014

According to journalist Adam Cooper, the next FIA World Council to be held in December should validate a calendar of 20 Grands Prix and no longer 22 like the one that was presented on September 27. If Bernie Ecclestone was in favor of adding events, the teams fear management and fatigue problems with little rest time. However, several races are uncertain for next season. After the Indian GP which was canceled for 2014, the South Korean Grand Prix also seemed to be in the hot seat, with the Yeongam event not receiving a great success.

But according to our colleague, the South Korean GP would not be among those excluded, but New Jersey (June 1) and Mexico (November 16). Already planned for this year, New Jersey still has significant financial problems according to the director of the FOM even if the organizers always claim the opposite. As for Mexico, there would be insufficient time to carry out paddock renovation work. In addition, these two events were placed between two races (New Jersey between Monaco and Montreal and Mexico between Austin and Interlagos).
