They will have dropped the jacket to put on the shirt Alfa Romeo Racing, the one that suits this enclosure. They will all be there, in the garages, on the grid, to show their determination and show their support. Coming from the “Centro Stile”, its new head office in Turin, or from Milan, the brand's dignitaries at the Quadrifoglio with, at their head, Jean-Philippe Imparato who has presided over the destiny of the Italian car manufacturer since January 2021. He is no stranger to strengthening the links between the firm and the Sauber team, which it has made its strong arm. If it is mainly a question of financial and marketing support, the technical collaboration is developing to the point that the French manager is counting heavily on the rise of the team to restore its letters of nobility to Alfa Romeo, and to awaken a rich dormant heritage which he hopes will be the seed of a new blossoming. Imparato will not be alone to monitor the transplant, he will be accompanied by Carlos Tavares, the big boss of Stellantis of which Alfa Romeo is a part. If the captain of industry will make the trip from Paris, it is to satisfy his passion for motorsport which we know is great, but also to show his unconditional support for the program F1 from the Italian brand. It was all the more important to be there as the first three meetings of the season showed a good flowering of results. Obviously nothing to do with the Team Ferrari which has gone from success to success since the start of the championship, but neither the means nor the ambitions are similar, even if the Milanese manufacturer borrows its dashing 2022 powertrain from the Scuderia.
