Miami Grand Prix project changes location

Efforts to bring Formula 1 in the heart of Miami (Florida) fell through at the end of April 2019. This is the information revealed the daily Miami Herald on its website, while leaving hope of organizing the event on the edge of the city center.

Liberty Media, owner of the discipline, the Florida municipality as well as the boss of the U.S. Miami Dolphins football team, Stephen Ross, had been working together for a year to create this Grand Prix. Initially hoped for 2019, the race had been postponed for a season due to strong protests from local residents.

They took a very dim view of the noise and transport problems. that would cause the installation of a temporary circuit in front of their home.

The American media now indicates that efforts are focused on a circuit near the Hard Rock Stadium, a sports venue located in Miami Gardens, a suburb north of the city. It will not surprise you to learn that this stadium is the property… of Stephen Ross, the Dolphins boss.

The environment of the circuit would then strongly resemble the Sochi enclosure. (Russia) which has hosted a Grand Prix since 2014. But at least it would not cause as many traffic problems for local residents... No arrival date on the calendar has been disclosed.
