Charles Leclerc set the best time in practice for the Singapore GP. Max Verstappen was discreet during FP3 by staying in the pits for a long time.

Leclerc new reference in Singapore

Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) set the best test time for the Singapore GP with a time of 1'38''192, improving the performance of Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) signed the day before. The Monegasque beat the Briton by 2 tenths, the latter having suffered a scare by spinning just after leaving the pits.

Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) followed more than 6 tenths ahead Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes). THE Red Bull byAlexander albon and Max Verstappen complete the ranking of the top teams, the Dutchman not having even reached ten covered laps after remaining in the pits for a long time.

The McLaren de Carlos Sainz Jr and Lando Norris preceded the Renault de Nico Hulkenberg et Daniel Ricciardo which completes the Top 10.

Pierre Gasly (Toro Rosso) took 12th place between Lance stroll (Racing Point) and Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo). Sergio Pérez (Racing Point) followed in 14th place, but the Mexican had to return to the pits after hitting the wall, causing the session to be interrupted following debris on the track.

The ranking was completed by George Russell (Williams), Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo), the Haas de Kevin Magnussen et Romain Grosjean, as well as Robert Kubica (Williams). Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso) was unable to set a time, suffering from an oil leak requiring an engine change. The Russian will not be penalized.
