Charles Leclerc set the benchmark for testing at the German GP at the end of the last session where several times were canceled.

Leclerc reference in EL3 at Hockenheim

Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) signed the benchmark for the German GP tests at Hockenheim. With a lap completed in 1'12''380 in the last session held in the dry, the Monegasque was a tenth ahead of the Red Bull de Max Verstappen, while his teammate Sebastian Vettel completed the top three in front of the Mercedes de Valtteri Bottas.

Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) was content with 5th time behind Kevin Magnussen (Haas) who seems in better shape than the day before. The Briton was part of the list of drivers who saw times canceled for exceeding track limits.

Carlos Sainz Jr hoisted the first McLaren in 7th position ahead Pierre Gasly whose Red Bull was rebuilt after his crash the day before. Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo) and Romain Grosjean (Haas) completed the Top 10, the Frenchman having encountered engine problems at the end of the session.

Sergio Pérez (Racing Point) finished at the gates of the Top 10, ahead of Nico Hulkenberg (Renault). The R.S.19s are behind since Daniel Ricciardo is only 18th ahead of Williams by Robert Kubica and George Russell. The Australian ranked behind Alexander albon (Toro Rosso), Lando Norris (McLaren), Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo), Lance stroll (Racing Point) and Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso).

 

 

Qualifying for the German GP will be contested from 15 p.m. The session will be followed live on Canal+ and with our live text.
