Schumacher's health remains 'critical'

Still no change in the state of health of Michael Schumacher hospitalized at Grenoble University Hospital since his skiing accident on December 29. As the seven-time world champion enters his second week plunged into an induced coma, his doctors have indicated that there is no real improvement, with the situation still considered “critical”.

“Michael Schumacher’s clinical condition is considered stable and is continuously monitored by the medical treatments administered to him. However, the medical team in charge emphasizes that they continue to consider Michael's situation critical. The patient's privacy requires that we do not detail his treatment and this is why we are not planning new press conferences, nor issuing written press releases immediately. »

The Grenoble University Hospital also insisted to the media to avoid any spread of rumors and other speculation concerning the state of health of Michael Schumacher. “We urge you once again to respect medical confidentiality and to stick to the information given by the medical team in charge or its management, because this is the only valid information. »
