Lewis Hamilton defends Ross Brawn's ideas

After the repurchase of the F1, Liberty Media intends to revive interest in the discipline on all possible levels. The firm notably announced that it wanted to develop the visibility and audience of F1 by targeting new markets, but also on the digital level, particularly via social networks.

But it is on the sporting side that significant modifications could occur. Ross Brawn, placed by Liberty Media at the head of sports management, admitted that the teams seemed to be receptive to the American group's message.

The Briton recently clarified some of his ideals in this perspective, including a race held outside the championship to test possible new formats.

A concept that pleases the three-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. “That doesn’t sound like a bad idea, says Hamilton, city by Sky Sports. A new format is absolutely necessary for Formula 1. From Thursday to Sunday, it has been the same for the last eleven years. »

Besides this possibility, the pilot Mercedes always campaigns for greater openness towards fans. “I don’t know if it will ever be as big as football, but let it be closer to the people. » says Hamilton.
