Lewis Hamilton still embarrassed by the bounces of his Mercedes

In Monaco, Lewis Hamilton suffered again with the behavior of his Mercedes. The W13 was indeed very bouncy, putting the Englishman and his teammate George Russell under pressure.

The Grands Prix pass, and the porpoising problems do not disappear from the Mercedes W13. In Monaco, last Grand Prix to date, played last weekend, the Silver Arrows were rather capricious. Still faced with this rebound phenomenon, the single-seaters of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell bounced back a lot, making the drivers of the German team suffer.

« That's how it is, and there's not much I can do about it, launched the Briton, probably disillusioned after a generally complicated weekend ending in 8e instead. We will go back to the factory and try harder, we will try our luck again in the next race. »

On the Rock, it is true that Lewis Hamilton was never at ease unlike in Barcelona seven days earlier where he had been competitive. Struggling with his bouncy W13, the seven-time world champion was content to reach the finish line in 8th position after having stumbled for a long time on Fernando Alonso on which he never found the opening. It is towards Baku (Azerbaijan) and its long straight that the Englishman is turning, hoping to have better equipment.

« I pray that the car is not like in Monaco. It was the worst time in this car that I have experienced so far, simply because of the bumps, he regretted. I wish they (these problems) go away. My teeth and jaw kept moving, I finished (the race) with tremors. I look forward to a more open circuit. With a little more luck, we won't bounce back as much as here (Monaco) during the next race.

I don't know if it's related to porpoising. I hope not anyway because we didn't have it in the last race (Spain). I hope that's not the problem but if it's bumpy we might suffer in the turns."
