Lewis Hamilton didn't listen to his engineer

Author of a very bad start, Lewis Hamilton spat on his hands to come out on top at the end of the 53 laps of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza this Sunday. A still unknown reason for preventing the Briton's W05 Hybrid from starting the start sequence.

“Before the start there is a button you press that engages the launch sequence for the formation lap and it didn't work, Hamilton explains. Then I thought no problem, I'll put it on the start. Then, when I got to the gate, I insisted and once again it didn't work. It's very, very strange. This had never happened before. Then there was a different sequence of lights, which are not the usual ones. I tried to start as quickly as possible. Fortunately I managed not to lose too many places. In the end, my race engineer told me that I needed to slow down, but from past experiences and also what happened in 2014, I knew that was not the way to go. I chose another path. The car was good and I had never been so close to Nico. »

Lewis Hamilton returns with his sixth success in 2014, 22 points behind Nico Rosberg in the championship standings.
