Lewis Hamilton tackles Fernando Alonso

On the 9th lap of the European Grand Prix, Mark Webber's accident caused the safety car to come out. Hamilton, then second, overtakes the latter, provoking the anger of Fernando Alonso, third at this point in the race, who ranks behind the Safety Car.
Silent until then, Lewis Hamilton reacted on the BBC website.

“I saw him get overtaken by a Sauber, declared the 2008 world champion, referring to the maneuver of Kobayashi shortly before arrival. He must have been somewhere else entirely. It’s not like him to be overtaken by a Sauber.”

The pilot McLaren was finally given a drive-through 15 laps after the incident. In the meantime, stringing together fast laps, he managed to maintain his second place, his rival finishing eighth.

“They penalized him a little too late, declared Alonso upon arrival. Twenty turns to investigate a maneuver like this…”

Within the Team, Stefano Domenicali, Luca di Montezemolo and Piero Ferrari, the vice-president of the brand, stepped up to express their dissatisfaction.

« I don't understand why I disrupted his race so much, continues Hamilton. Everyone can have their own opinion, and they must be disappointed with their own result, but I didn't do anything to him. The FIA is doing an incredible job, allowing us to race this season? ".

Hamilton-Alonso relations are not going to get better any time soon.
