Free 2: Alonso shows up

Fernando Alonso wants to leave Renault on a great end to the season. After a phase of poor results and the damage caused by the "Piquet affair" (dismissal, Singapore crashgate), the Spanish driver wants to make the diamond team talk about the sporting aspect. And thanks to a supersonic ride at the end of the session, the native of Oviedo achieved it.

To do as many tests as possible before the possible arrival of rain, the teams quickly send their drivers onto the track as soon as the timer starts. This is how the majority of cars line up the laps during the first minutes. Kamui Kobayashi (Toyota), le presque débutant, pointe un moment en tête (1?14??516) avant que Mark Webber (Red Bull) does not confirm his performances of the morning (1?13??603).

After displaying the new potential of Toro Rosso in Suzuka, Sébastien Buemi returns to the forefront at Interlagos (1?12??796). The Swiss driver would improve his mark three times, bringing the best time after an hour's session to 1:12:357. In the meantime, Jenson Button, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were able to sneak into first position.

Exits after more than twenty-five minutes of session, the Renaults of Fernando Alonso and Romain Grosjean line up fewer towers than their rivals, while Ferrari sees Giancarlo Fisichella stop in the middle of the track twenty minutes from the end of the session. The Italian is near the pit lane and, after attempting a fast start, stalls. Despite the proximity of its stand, ?Fisico? cannot see his team come to help him, the car being out of the pitlane.

As a few drops begin to fall on Sao Paulo, the ballet of cars slows down and the times no longer improve. Until Fernando Alonso came out of his reserve. The Renault driver, discreet until then, took the upper hand over the rest of the field, in 1:12:314. Only Rubens Barrichello managed to get close and set the third time, in 1:12:459. But, for this Friday, the drivers left it there and it was Fernando Alonso who set the best time of the day.
