Barely two days after the end of a season which promises to be epic, the stables of F1 will have the opportunity to run the young shoots on the Yas Marina route in Abu Dhabi. Just promoted within the academy Williams, the 20-year-old American pilot Logan sargeant, will have the opportunity to test the FW43B during the end-of-year young pilot tests, on December 14.
Third in the championship F3 2020 with Prema, the one who has since made his debut in F2 with HWA Racelab in Jeddah last week, joined the Grove team last October. After participating in several simulator sessions within his new team, Logan Sargeant will be able to compete on the ultra-fast track in Abu Dhabi, for a full-scale test. A first for the Floridian at the wheel of a Formula 1 car.
“I can't wait to make my first drive in a Formula 1 car and I would like to thank the team for putting their trust in me by giving me this incredible opportunity, confides the American driver in the Williams press release. I spent some time at the Grove factory and familiarized myself with the simulator, which helped me get a first impression of the features of the FW43B, but being able to go to the track will be an incredible experience that I will not forget. I will go into the test looking to do my best and learn as much as I can from the team. »
We are pleased to confirm that the team's Academy Driver, @LoganSargeant, will drive in the post-season test at the Yas Marina Circuit on 14th December! 🙌
