Renault's organization chart is taking shape

On December 3, 2015, Carlos Ghosn, president of the alliance Renault-Nissan, confirmed what AUTOhebdo had been saying since last May, namely the return of the Losange brand as a full-fledged team in the World Championship F1, via the acquisition of Lotus F1 Team.

A formalization which, however, revealed nothing regarding the organization of the future structure. The big boss of Renault then arranged to meet in January for more information.

It is finally two months to the day after the announcement of the return of the French brand that the strong men of this program will be presented. If the 2016 livery should be revealed there, it is above all the Renault F1 organization chart which attracts all the attention.

In view of the list of participants in this presentation at the Technocentre in Guyancourt (Yvelines), a first draft can thus be made. Alongside Jérôme Stoll, President of Renault Sport F1, Thierry Bolloré, Deputy Director for Competitiveness, Patrice Ratti, Renault Sport Managing Director (Technology) and Cyril Abiteboul, general director of Renault Sport F1, currently in post, everything suggests that Frédéric Vasseur, general director of ART Grand Prix, would take the role of director of the competition. Gérard Lopez, former owner of Lotus, could take a position as non-executive director.

On the technical side, Bob Bell, technical director during the previous presence of a Renault F1 team, and passed by Manor in 2015, would return to his former position, with Nick Chester in charge of the chassis part and Rémi Taffin for the engine.
