Lotus begins its chassis

If Jarno Trulli seems well placed to inherit a seat at Lotus F1 Racing in 2010, he can already observe the work carried out by Mike Gascoyne's teams. After revealing photos of the model which would allow work in the wind tunnel, Lotus published this Saturday a photo of the first chassis under construction.

Mike Gascoyne recently said that Lotus was the most advanced of the four teams that will join Formula 1 in 2010. At the same time, doubts remain about the ability of one of them, USF1, to respect a clear program and to be at the start of the Bahrain Grand Prix in March 2010 (see elsewhere). By communicating regularly on the progress of its project, the Lotus F1 Racing team wants to confirm that it will be ready for the start of the next F1 season.
