Lotus has everything to beat Ferrari according to Boullier

After the summer break, the Lotus F1 Team went through a difficult period with the clash of Romain Grosjean at the start of the Belgian Grand Prix. Returning to Singapore after a Grand Prix suspension, the Frenchman was able to pull himself together to score valuable points in the championship. The next events on the calendar will be important for Eric Boullier's men, since significant developments are planned on the Lotus E20s in order to make up for the delay accumulated during the last Grands Prix.

« Our determination, the excellence of our package and our consistency should allow us to beat Ferrari, explains Boullier on the official F1 website. Their car is fast, but they can only count on one driver. This is enough for you when you want to fight for the drivers' championship, but it is not the right strategy when you are aiming for the constructors' championship. This is our goal to give our drivers a chance to fight for the title, and Kimi is in a position to do that. »

Even though he hasn't won yet, Kimi Räikkönen sits third in the championship and can still secure a second world crown. “ Kimi builds her weekends very intelligently, adds Boullier. At the start he needs to find the rhythm and in qualifying he is probably not at his best. But in the race he proved that he was a good finisher. He made several podiums in a row. Regarding his metamorphosis, maybe it's because he's older? He is more experienced and more mature. I also think he is happy in his new environment. »
