Magnussen: “I don’t care what people say about me”

Kevin Magnussen is one of the drivers criticized within the paddock for their aggressive driving. The pilot Haas got into verbal clashes with several competitors this season, notably with Nico Hulkenberg (Renault), sometimes forcing the Haas Team Principal F1 Team to come and defend the Dane.

The latter, however, does not mind the remarks made to him and intends to pursue his career as he sees fit.

“One thing I stopped looking at social media for a while. As a public figure, you are often mentioned and receive many messages. It can be frustrating to read them and it helped me a lot to stop looking at them. I don't care what people say about me. I know from (journalists) if someone says something negative about me, but I don't worry about it.", Kevin Magnussen told the Ekstra Bladet newspaper.

“It is obviously not my intention to be unpopular, wanted to clarify the teammate of Romain Grosjean. But what matters to me is getting good results and what the commissioners say. I only received one penalty this year due to my driving and that shows that I'm not that bad. »

Kevin Magnussen concluded by indicating that his objective was not to be appreciated among the drivers, the nature of the discipline making this impossible according to him.

“I have friends in the paddock but not among the drivers. It would never work”, he commented.
