Magnussen: “The 2018 Haas will not be all good or all bad”

Recruited from Renault F1 Team before the 2017 season, Kevin Magnussen completed its first season with Haas F1 Team with 19 points on the clock and 14th place in the Drivers' standings, just behind his teammate Romain Grosjean.

The Dane discovered an American team in full development after its debut in 2016, with a VF17 however lacking in consistency in the Grands Prix. “We benefited from a very solid ensemble in certain conditions, on certain tracks, but we lack consistency, Magnussen told us.

When we are good, we are really good, but when we are bad, we are terribly bad. This “all good or all bad” side, the 2018 car will not have it. »

Kevin Magnussen, passed through large structures McLaren or Renault with much more substantial resources than Haas, highlights the work capacity of Gene Haas' men, and believes that the Kannapolis team can achieve higher results in the future. “This team is young, but it is growing, continues the former McLaren driver.

It’s incredible what she manages to do despite her lack of experience. You know, in general, small teams do a good job. Look at Force India. The Haas team has a bright future ahead of it, and I can’t wait to see it. »

Haas also remains at the center of potential rumors about an association with Maserati, as recently indicated Sergio Marchionne, president of FIAT-Chrysler and Ferrari.
