Mallya reassures about the strength of Force India

Force India, like other structures, must face the increase in costs caused in particular by the new regulations. If Marussia F1 Team failed to recover that Caterham must call on crowdfunding, other teams such as Sauber or Force India also seem in danger. Some reports have suggested losses reaching 38,5 million pounds (more than 48 million euros) for Vijay Mallya's structure.

The Indian businessman responded by wanting to reassure about the financial situation of his team, often followed closely by the media due to the difficulties encountered by the owner. “Every type of business involves assets and debts. This is how it works, on a small or large scale”, commented Vijay Mallya, quoted in the Dailymail. “We do indeed have sums to pay, but it does not even reach half of the sums mentioned. Force India's finances have long been subject to rumors. These increased when our partner, the Sahara Group, found itself in difficulty, but we remain competitive (6th in the Manufacturers' Championship). I must put an end to these speculations which do no good, whether for the discipline or the teams. »

Vijay Mallya is now awaiting the minutes of the meeting between Bernie Ecclestone and Donald MacKenzie, the co-chairman of CVC Partners, who were to discuss at the start of the week the distribution of revenue between the teams following the failure of the discussions in Sao Paulo (Brazil).
