Manor Marussia moves closer to Melbourne

Manor Marussia should perform well in Australia the weekend of March 15 for the opening of the 2015 season, after having confirmed that its car would be ready in time. As we explain to you in issue 2001 of AUTOhebdo, available in digital version and on newsstands, Stephen Fitzpatrick, boss of the company Ovo Energy, is the main investor who allowed Manor Marussia to emerge from administration. JustinKing, former head of Salisbury stores, has been appointed interim chairman. The stable of Team Principal John Booth and Sports Director Graeme Lowdon would be able to field a single-seater capable of satisfying the prerequisites of the regulations in force before introducing a real 2015 version, more advanced, during the season.

“It’s been a tough time for all of us, but we got through it and now we just want to race again, says Lowdon. With tremendous leadership from Stephen Fitzpatrick and the presence of Justin King, we are now in a good position heading into the new season. It’s a fantastic and very rewarding time for everyone involved with the team. »

Manor Marussia has already confirmed the commitment of the British Will Stevens, the second driver remaining to be defined.
