Manor pays tribute to Jules Bianchi

A year ago, Jules Bianchi gave Marussia F1 Team its first points in Formula 1 by taking the final ninth place in the Monaco Grand Prix, after crossing the finish line eighth (the Frenchman had been penalized for having observed a previous penalty under safety car regime). A result which weighed on the survival of the now Manor Marussia team and which Team Principal John Booth wanted to honor.

“Racing in Monaco is always a special feeling. It's a very special occasion for the discipline, but for our team it has even greater meaning since Jules scored our first points in the Manufacturers' championship there. It was an unforgettable day and it is very important to everyone on the team that we honor what Jules has achieved for us. That's a big part of why we're back today. »

“Therefore, despite our obvious sadness, this weekend we will remember and celebrate what was a very important milestone in the team's history and what was, above all, a superb performance from Jules. » The Frenchman is still in a coma and continues to fight following his accident last October at Suzuka in Japan.
