Marko: Red Bull can gain performance with Total

Si Red Bull Racing seems to be gaining consistency after the Chinese Grand Prix where both RB10s finished in the top five, the Team Ferrari took its first podium of the season thanks to the F14 T of Fernando Alonso. One Kimi Räikkönen remained stuck in eighth place, Helmut Marko nevertheless believes that the Maranello team has improved its performance thanks to a new type of gasoline from its supplier Schell.

The Red Bull Racing advisor, however, remains calm while waiting for Total, the partner of Taureau Rouge, to also provide an optimized mixture. “Ferrari has clearly made progress in China. They had a new type of gasoline. But we will also have a new one soon, perhaps from the next race in Spain (May 11 in Barcelona)”, commented the Austrian in Bild. “This new type of gasoline will give us 2 or even 3 tenths over a lap. We will at least have a chance of overtaking Ferrari. Our drivers could do whatever they wanted last Sunday but they couldn't overtake Alonso. »
