Massa: Better but still insufficient

After three Grands Prix contested, the results are tough for Felipe Massa who has still not scored a single point in the Championship. Worse, the Brazilian is the only driver not to have signed a top ten this season with the drivers of the three new teams. The pilot of the Team still managed to get closer to his teammate Fernando Alonso finishing the race in 13th place, a handful of seconds behind the Asturian. If the result is still insufficient, the Paulist does not lose hope even if he does not display overflowing optimism for the rest of the season.

“I tried to do my best in a particularly competitive race”, comments Felipe Massa. “I clearly can't be happy with 13th place but I think it's still progress compared to the first two races. The choice to make two stops was the right one given my position but perhaps they should have been made at another time given the progress of the race. But it's always easy to say that once the checkered flag has dropped. I find myself in traffic all the time and I pay for my lack of speed, one of the biggest problems with the car at the moment. The Sakhir circuit does not seem very favorable to us. It's a test where I have always done well but I have no illusions. »
