Can Massa fight with Mercedes in Brazil?

If the first row of the Brazilian Grand Prix grid monopolized by the Mercedes hardly surprise, the performance of Williams was surprising since the Grove team placed its two single-seaters in ambush. Felipe Massa was the closest to the W05s, clocking in at two tenths from the benchmark established by Nico Rosberg.

“It's very emotional to be here with a competitive car starting in the top three. I was not able to exploit the full potential of the car, I had power losses. I also had a lot of traffic during my last flying lap and problems in the garage which did not allow me to improve my time. The others progressed with the second set of tires,” explains the Brazilian.

Felipe Massa will be keen to shine in front of a public won over to his cause, after winning a first podium at Monza. “I don't think I could have improved enough to beat (the Mercedes) but I could have come close. But the Williams are competitive given the gap with my teammate and that is very encouraging for tomorrow. »
