Massa ready to battle with Ferrari at Australian GP

Felipe Massa stood out by being the fastest in the peloton behind Mercedes at the Australian GP in Melbourne. Despite a delay of 1”4 on pole Lewis Hamilton, the pilot Williams managed to qualify ahead of the Ferrari de Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen for a few hundredths in advance.

If the W06 Hybrid seems out of reach, Felipe Massa has a good hope of finishing on the podium. “These qualifications were very close because we had four cars with very close times... The fight will be tough tomorrow, particularly with Ferrari... Red Bull is not in the game at the moment but I am sure they will recover because they are very competent. They finished ahead of us last year and the rules haven't really changed, but it is Ferrari which is showing itself to be more efficient for the moment and I think they will be more worrying tomorrow. »

Felipe Massa has no illusions about his potential against the Silver Arrows who showed a significantly better pace. “We have similar performance (to Ferrari), but Mercedes is in a different category…It’s not fantastic to see such a gap but we continue to work…”, added the Brazilian.
