Massa ready to work with Alonso

Felipe Massa, associated in 2006 with Michael Schumacher, then between 2007 and 2009 at Kimi Räikkönen, will find a new teammate at Ferrari next season, Fernando Alonso. The Brazilian, well established within the Team, will therefore team up with a new world champion but does not fear experiencing a difficult season.

Massa said this this weekend on the Florianopolis circuit in Brazil, where for the fifth consecutive year he is organizing a charity race, the International Challenge of the Stars, during which many drivers, such as Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Tonio Liuzzi or Nelson Piquet Jr, will be present.

« Alonso is a great driver, everyone knows that, and I think we will work well together, confided Massa, quoted by the newspaper AS. I think we will form the strongest duo in the championship. I don't think the arrival of Alonso will change anything in my career or within the Ferrari team. We are two great drivers and his recruitment is a good thing for the team. »

However, the Brazilian has a small regret: that of not having seen Fernando Alonso respond favorably to his invitation to Florianopolis. “ I invited Alonso to come here. Not only this year but in previous seasons. I hope it comes next year, after seeing how interesting it is », concluded Massa. The latter will therefore get back behind the wheel this weekend, for his first official competition since his accident during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
