Maurizio Arrivabene: “We must work better”

Last winter, the Team Ferrari has experienced a revolution like it has rarely experienced. Departure to Fernando Alonso and the former Team Principal Marco Mattiacci, departure of several members playing in key positions like Pat Fry or Nikolas Tombazis? To successfully complete the return to the forefront of one of the historic teams of the F1, Sergio Marchionne, new president of Ferrari, called on Maurizio Arrivabene, a 58-year-old Italian, formerly of Philip Morris Europe.

The new boss of the Scuderia took stock with AUTOhebdo after this first part of the season. “From the first Grands Prix of the year, we were considered to be the second force in the field. Very good, that suited me. Now it's no longer okay to stay in this role. We no longer have to do what is possible to beat this team Mercedes, but the impossible? To say that we must work, that we work and that we will work is obvious, a stupid statement because that is what we do. But we have to work better. … ”
