Max Verstappen penalized at Monza on the grid

In addition to Max Verstappen and his father, they are the governing bodies of Red Bull who show their annoyance with Renault and the lack of reliability of Max Verstappen's engine, forced to retire three times this season following a problem with the French block.

« Unfortunately, it was another terribly frustrating day for Max, breathes Christian Horner, Team Principal of Red Bull Racing. Once again, he was in a good position and, through no mistake on his part, he suffered another engine failure.

“Our engine partners have apologized and are aware that the reliability of their product fell short of expectations. Alain Prost personally apologized to Max. »

The Milton Keynes clan expects a new challenge in Italy, on a new track giving pride of place to the engine and with almost certain penalties inflicted on the Dutch driver, but also on his Australian teammate.

« I have no doubt in his determination to achieve good results and do his best at Monza, despite the engine penalties we will take and the great disappointment he feels is worthy of the man he is.."

While Max Verstappen suffered his 6e abandonment of the season, Daniel Ricciardo signed his 6e podium of the year.
