McLaren refines its internal reorganization

McLaren made a clear recovery in the hierarchy F1 last year, finishing comfortably 4th in the Manufacturers' championship. A renewed form in terms of performance which obviously finds its roots behind the scenes, where Andreas Seidl, Team Principal of the Woking team, has started real in-depth work since taking official office last May.

In a question and answer on the team's official website, the former head of Porsche Motorsport thus indicated thatAndrea Stella, arrived in 2014 from Ferrari, was going to take the position of competition manager after serving as performance manager for the past few years.

James Key and Piers Thynne, for their part, retain the positions of technical director and production director. Enough to further refine the internal reorganization begun in Woking in recent months.

“I have full confidence in them and their teams in everything they do and so they have my full support, comments Seidl. It is crucial to empower people, encourage them to make decisions, allow them to take risks and support them when things go wrong, because I accept that mistakes can happen. This is the only way to improve yourself and improve as a team. »
