McLaren F1 plans to return to orange

McLaren F1 could use orange, its favorite color, for its future single-seaters in the coming seasons. The rapprochements between the Woking team and Honda and the upcoming departure of its title sponsor Vodafone could offer a great opportunity for the British team to abandon its silver livery similar to Mercedes AMG F1.

“Orange is a great color, especially for McLaren”, declared Team Principal Martin Whitmarsh on the Russian site F1News. “We already use it for our GT races and we will continue to use it. It's a little different in F1, business is one of the main tasks of the team in order to promote our brands and our partners. But if we are lucky enough in finding a partner who likes this color, we could see this livery return to F1. »
