Will McLaren be able to bounce back at Nürburg?

McLaren was expected on his land at Silverstone, but it is the Team who shone. The British team appeared to be the most diminished by the restriction on blowing exhausts after both drivers missed qualifying. But the F1 will return to the old regulations from the German GP played this weekend and the performances of the MP4-26 should be close to the RB7 of Red Bull.

Jonathan Neale doesn't seem to doubt it. “The impact of the engine limitation cost us more than Ferrari or Red Bull, this is a fact, not an opinion”, clearly states the sporting director of the British team. “We had probably lost seven tenths on them, that's why we slipped. Until now, we were the only ones who could really fight against Red Bull with our winning drivers (this season). »

However, McLaren's sporting director does not deny that the level displayed by the competition is high. “We are aware of the progress made by Ferrari as well as the development of Red Bull, but our aim is to beat them both and that is what we are going to do. »
