McLaren towards continuity?

If the presence of Fernando Alonso is recorded next year in Woking, the identity of the teammate of the double Spanish world champion still remains unresolved. McLaren has in Jenson Button an experienced world champion, and can extend his collaboration with the Briton.

But for several weeks, the constantly renewed performances of the Belgian nugget of the McLaren fold Stoffel vandoorne in GP2 Series are fueling rumors about a potential arrival of the leader of the series for accession to the F1 in 2016 alongside Alonso.

Eric Boullier, director of McLaren Racing, however clarified this Friday at a press conference that he wanted to keep his current drivers. "McLaren only has two cars, only two seats and we have two world champions and we intend to keep them until now, indicates the Frenchman.

It’s a luxury problem to have four good drivers. Kevin Magnussen (McLaren reserve driver) and Stoffel are very good. We expect to see them both race in Formula 1 and if we can't fit them in we will do our best to make sure they race next year. »
