Mercedes experienced various problems with its two drivers during the first day of testing for the Singapore Grand Prix, but the W07 Hybrids showed rather promising performances which should reassure the German team after last year's failure at Marina Bay.
Despite a collision with the wall at turn 18 during the first practice session, Nico Rosberg set the best time of the day, ahead of his closest rival Kimi Räikkönen by more than two tenths (Ferrari).
