Mercedes prepares for Canada

The drivers declared themselves satisfied with the behavior of the car and the results obtained after the Istanbul Grand Prix. Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher, eighth and ninth respectively in the drivers' championship, will try everything this weekend to improve their positions. The Gilles Villeneuve circuit, with its fast sections, will be a rather favorable terrain for MGP W01s.

?I?ve always had great weekends in Montreal and it?s always a pleasure to come back,? declared the seven-time world champion. “The Gilles Villeneuve circuit being very fast, we focused our work on speed, given that it is not our strong point. But I am convinced that we will have the best possible package,” commented the driver Mercedes.

His teammate, Nico Rosberg, also says he is happy to leave for Canada on a circuit he likes. “Montreal is a magnificent race, the atmosphere is fantastic,” said Schumacher?s teammate. “Our Mercedes-Benz engine will certainly be a great help on the long straight. We will have some developments for this weekend's race. The route being quite different from that of Istanbul, I have good hopes for the race. I think we will be able to achieve a very good result,” added the second German driver.

Team principal Ross Brawn is also optimistic about the possibilities of good results for his team. “We achieved our best result in Turkey, despite a performance deficit. We are working to improve this,” said the former president of Brawn GP. “We will need a car with good braking stability as well as an efficient engine.
