Montezemolo: Ferrari must fight

At the end of the European GP won by Sebastien Hag, Fernando Alonso had indicated that he no longer believed in the title, falling too far behind the Championship leader. However, Luca di Montezemolo wanted to react by indicating that Ferrari would remain fully involved in the 2011 Championship.

“During the last few days, I took stock of the situation with Stefano Domenicali and the engineers”, commented the president of the Maranello manufacturer. “We are working hard and we can see the improvements compared to the first races of the season. This is partly because we took a different approach to developing the car »

“We know that the situation in the two Championships is very complicated, but I don’t want to hear about abandonment”, insists Luca di Montezemolo. “We have to continue our progress and fight for victory in every race, which is a duty for Ferrari. We started talking about the 2012 car, which is normal at this stage of the season. I have confidence in Domenicali and his team and I am certain that we will see the results of their work. »
