The only driver alongside Nico Rosberg and Fernando Alonso to have scored points in every race, the German from Force India hopes to continue his momentum in Austria.

Nico Hülkenberg wants to continue his harvest

Nico Hulkenberg is subscribed to fifth place in 2014. In seven Grands Prix already contested, the German from Force India has already brought back his VJM07 powered by the V6 turbo / hybrid Mercedes ranked fifth four times. With two sixth places and a tenth position in Spain in addition, “Hülk” is the only driver in the ranking with leader Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) and Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) to have scored in every outing this season. A series that the former resident of Williams and Sauber logically hopes to continue this weekend in Austria.

“We are in a very good position to continue to score points, says Hülkenberg. We will have to stay on our guard and continue to work hard as we have done from the start. There will be tracks where we will be stronger and where we can capitalize on the opportunities we have, and other tracks which will be more of a challenge. I know what the team's plans are for the rest of the season and I don't see why we can't continue to compete at the level we have reached. »

This will be the first appearance of the German on the Red Bull Austrian Ring, a circuit which could suit the qualities of the VJM07. “There are long straights, and few turns, explains the latter. But as it is a short route, the slightest error could make a big difference. » The old A1 Ring has a development of 4,3 km, one of the shortest routes of the season.
