Nico Rosberg wins in Brazil

Lewis Hamilton will not have succeeded in putting his name on the list of winners of the Brazilian Grand Prix. The reigning World Champion was unable to do anything to achieve a first victory on the land of his idol Ayrton Senna, dominated this Sunday by his teammate at Mercedes Nico Rosberg.

The German, author of pole position, mastered his subject today on the Interlagos track, controlling the Briton at the start and permanently maintaining a margin on the W06 Hybrid no. 44 throughout the 71 laps on the program , despite several unsuccessful attempts to close Hamilton. This second consecutive success for Rosberg after Mexico (and the second in Brazil after 2014) allows him to secure second place in the Drivers' championship.

Because behind the Silver Arrows, Sebastian Vettel, if he hoists his Ferrari SF15-T on the podium, was never able to worry the Mercedes and had to lose to Rosberg in the championship. Kimi Räikkönen finished 4th and preceded the Williams de Valtteri Bottas, who built his fifth place by getting an excellent start, and notably overtaking Nico Hulkenberg (Force India) who finished behind the Finn under the checkered flag.

The first Red Bull of Daniil Kvyat follows in seventh position ahead of Felipe Massa (Williams) who remains under investigation for the pressures of his right rear tire before the start, Romain Grosjean (Lotus) et Max Verstappen (Toro Rosso), who takes the point of tenth place by overtaking Pastor Maldonado (Lotus) at the very end of the race. Less success for his Spanish teammate Carlos Sainz, who was unable to start from the grid, following a problem with his car, and who was forced to stop his car at the side of the track on the first lap, after starting from the pits.

McLaren, with Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso 14th and 15th, brings his two MP4-30s to the finish. The last Grand Prix of the season will take place on November 29 at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
