Norris back against Stroll: “He doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes”

No doubt, this Sunday Lance stroll (Racing Point) ruined his race and at the same time that of Lando Norris (McLaren). At the start of the 18th lap, the first city attempted a daring overtake on the second from the outside at turn 1. Result? Contact between the two men and damage which compromised the rest of their Grand Prix.

« I don't know what he tried to do, wondered Lando Norris after the race. He went left which surprised me even though he could have gone inside. I was already going into the turn and he hit me ».

Upset by the Canadian's kamikaze attempt, the McLaren driver did not hesitate to send him a message, especially since he had had a collision in the same place during testing with Max Verstappen.

« He didn't learn his lesson from Friday but he doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes. This happens very often with him. In the future I will make sure to stay away from him ».

Found guilty and penalized five seconds, Lance Stroll tried as best he could to defend himself. “ He was in the middle of the track. I wasn't sure if he was going to go inside or stay on course. It was weird.

I had to make a quick decision and went outside on the vibrator. I turned the corner and there wasn't enough room for both of us ».

Lando Norris finished the Portuguese Grand Prix 13th while Lance Stroll did not finish. He was then penalized with two points on his license before losing a third for not respecting the track limits. A weekend to forget.
