Ocon: “At Spa, we transformed the negative into a positive”
After a weekend in Barcelona to forget, Renault experienced a very different Belgian meeting. At Spa, the French team managed to place the RS20s Daniel Ricciardo et Esteban Ocon in 4th and 5th positions respectively.
The improvements made in Belgium have therefore borne fruit and in the Losange camp we are aware of this. “ We are very satisfied. We are very happy with how the weekend went », says a delighted Esteban Ocon.
« Obviously when we arrived here (Spa) after the complicated weekend in Barcelona we transformed the negative into a positive. The car performed perfectly from the first test session. We managed to continue improving it and end the weekend in a good position ».
At Monza this Sunday, the Renault driver hopes they can reproduce “ the same, or better » since the characteristics of the Italian route « are similar or even more favorable » to those of Spa.
