Palmer and Magnussen under pressure for 2017

After his return to F1 this year, Renault could see its crew again from 2017 when the new regulations will be introduced. The Losange manufacturer could particularly be interested in Esteban Ocon currently in training at Manor, the Frenchman having carried out tests for Mercedes and the French brand.

The lack of confirmation of Renault's wishes for next year places its two drivers in uncertainty regarding their future in F1.

“I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, admitted Kevin Magnussen, the author of the six points scored by the teamenstone. I read in the press that there would be a delay and that the decision could take time. It's frustrating because I was hoping for an announcement between the two races (Monza and Singapore), but it's clearly not planned and things will last longer than I expected. »

His teammate Jolyon Palmer, still looking for a first top ten, also shares the Dane's uncertainty.

“Nothing has changed for me. I just have to concentrate on what I'm doing. I know I'm in balance. The shuttlecocks are fought over in every race from now on but I feel like I'm riding at my best right now.", confided the 2014 GP2 Series champion.
