Perez: “Recovering my momentum at Silverstone”

The accident of Sergio Perez in Q3 at the Monaco GP slowed down the Mexican's progress. After finishing ninth at the Spanish GP, the Sauber driver missed the next two Grands Prix. If the European GP was a difficult weekend for him, he has high hopes for the British GP.

“I think I’ve lost my momentum”, recognizes Sergio Perez. “I was in very good form after Barcelona when I scored points and I had a very good weekend in Monaco until qualifying. This week will be a good time to get back on track at Silverstone because we have three races very close together in July and it will be an important month for us. »

The teammate of Kamui Kobayashi admits to having had difficulty getting back behind the wheel of the C30 in Valencia, which he finished in 16th position. “Physically, it was very difficult for me; my head was still sore. It was not easy to come back and pilot the car. It took me a while to readjust to everything, but eventually everything was back to normal. Valencia was, in my opinion, one of my best weekends in terms of my limits. »
